HAPPY HOLIDAY'S EVERYONE!!!!

My Christmas post is a little late but I wanted to share some photo's from our day, and just to say that I hope anyone who looks here had a wonderful day with family and friends and loved ones ... we had a brilliant day with loads of family here .... good friends to share with day with as well and plenty of good food and drink to go around! The kids had a blast and were more than impressed with what Santa left for them! The celebrations have continued into the weekend and will keep going through until New Years! I LOVE this time of the year ... I love being around the people we love and taking time out to enjoy each others company before the madness of the new Year begins!!!!!!! A late Merry Christmas to everyone .... many good wishes for the New Year ... I hope it's a good one for you all. xo

Nan's Calendar

Each year my Nan receives a calendar from my sister-in-law with family photo's ... Kate was unable to do it this year so I did it for her ... I was inspired by Julieann and some of the classes she did at Scrapsidaisy and so this is what I came up with ... Nan just LOVES it and I'm pretty happy too! I've just had a look at Julieann's blog (see my sidebar) and have noticed she has also done some creations with the same yummy papers! Great minds and all that!!!!!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHARON!!!!!!!!!!

One of my 'bestest' (not a real word I know!) friends recently celebrated her 40th birthday and was going to have a huge party but in the end decided not to ... well of course we couldn't let it go by without something so another of her sneaky friends and I organized a small surprise get together for her with just a few of her close friends ... we had an absolute blast organizing it!!!!! We really wanted a special evening for a very special person who must have the biggest heart of anyone I know ... everything she does is for someone else so we needed this night to be just for her ... she had NO idea and I think had a fabulous night ... Happy Birthday Sharon!!!!!!!

Place cards at each setting .... the "It's all good because it's ALL ABOUT YOU" is a little joke between a couple of us! Sharon keeps reminding us that her b'day is "all about her" and my partner-in-crime in organizing the night always finishes everything she says with "it's all good" which drives Sharon to despair ... so we just HAD to include it!!!!!!!! We even had 'Happy 40th Sharon ... it's all about YOU' on her cake!!!!!

Happy Birthday Tay!!!!!

Today is my gorgeous daughter, Taylah's, 9th birthday! And what a day it has been! Full of visits from family and friends, a sleep-over last night, party today ... and of course lots of presents, cake and lollies!!!!!

Her party was held at our LSS, SCRAPSIDAISY, and the girls had a fabulous time! They made little post-it-note boxes, and then each girl made a page for an album for Tay with a little birthday message for her. The most gorgeous keepsake for years to come - I'll add photo's to it during the week and she will be able to look back at it years from now and remember her special day.

Leisa did a fantastic job looking after all the girls and afterwards a few of them declared it was the 'best party they have ever been to'!

Now she's very excited about a trip to Sydney tomorrow for the night. We will be visiting the Powerhouse Museum to go to the 'Diana Collection' which is over from Althorp! I'm VERY excited about that ... she's not so much!!!!!!! A very special friend of mine from New Zealand is coming over for the week so we will be going to that together, along with her 11 year old daughter who Tay absolutely adores - I think seeing her is what she is more excited about! Of course there will be lots of shopping as well which is always something to look forward to ... along with long chats and lots of catching up!

So, of course with all the birthday organizing and getting ready to go away and then have our friends here all week, I haven't done any creating! Hopefully next week when everything settles down a little!

Until then ... hope you are all good and not too busy in the lead up to Christmas! Time for me to head to bed ...

Organize, Organize, Organize .....

Hi there! It has been FOREVER since I've been on this! I guess it's a little thing called 'life' that gets in the way sometimes! We've had a busy few weeks ... our wedding anniversary 2 weeks ago, my b'day last week ... kids activities on .... Phil has been away for 2 weeks for work ... the list goes on ... I know most of you know exactly what it's like so I probably don't need to say any more!!!!!!!

I'm a terrible one for getting school notes and putting them somewhere 'safe' so I finally decided to decorate this clipboard which I picked up from Scrapsidaisy (see my links!) .... I'm still so 'new' to scrapping and off the page stuff that I get very nervous about it but I am happy with how this turned out. Of course I wait till the END of the year to do this so I'm obviously very unorganized ... but I think I might look at it instead as being very organized for next year! That's a much better spin on it! Kind of like a glass half full, not half empty!

Loss of a loved one ...

Yesterday a very special friend of ours, Gordon, lost his much loved Nan. It's so hard to know what to do sometimes but letting them know we are there for them is the most important thing. I made this card today to send to Sharon, Gordon and their boys ... the little butterflies are on foam dots so add a bit of dimension to the card.

A Wedding ...

My step-sister is getting married in April next year and has asked me to do the invitations for her. So I've made a couple of samples to send up to her (of course we live 8 hours away from each other!!!!!) and hopefully she will like one of them so I can get stuck into making them! The colours of the wedding are chocolate browns, creams, gold etc so hopfully this colour scheme will be just what she's looking for! There is a lot of info to go in the invitation (map, gifts, RSVP etc) so that is why there are little cards inside it for all of that ... I haven't printed anything at this stage - more just to get an idea of what she would like for the moment!

Scrapsidaisy Card Making Day!

Hi there! Wow ... Saturday I spent the day at a Card Making day at Scrapsidaisy organized by the wonderful Leisa and Julieann. What a fantastic day doing different classes and learning new techniques ... I had a blast and enjoyed it so much. I missed it last month but can't wait till the next one in December! A HUGE thank you to Leisa and Julieann for organizing it and going to so much trouble for all of us lucky girls that came on the day! The above 2 pictures are from 2 of the classes the gorgeous Julieann taught ... the first '25' card was using a different embossing technique which I really enjoyed learning as I hadn't done any embossing before (I feel a new obsession coming on though!) ... the second lot of cards was from an easy and quick session at the end of the day after we had taken in so much info!!!!!! There was also a tag class which I haven't finished off yet so as soon as I do I'll post it as well ... I seem to have so much trouble with time management to fit scrapping in everyday ... something I need to work on! Anyway, thanks again to Leisa and Julieann ... thanks also to Tracey for coming up to teach us her stunning card technique ... and thanks to the girls I spent the day there with for making it a lot of fun!

A quick page of Nick and I together ... we hardly ever get photo's taken together - he doesn't always love the camera! But I love these photo's of him ... he's so cheeky and gorgeous! I suppose though what 11 y/o boy does like their photo taken?? These photo's capture his fun personality perfectly!

A little card for my Nanna's 80th Birthday last week. We had a great party on Sunday with lots of family, friends, food and laughing! Have been trying to get this on here for a few days but 'something' has been happening and nothing wanted to work properly for me! Never mind! Time to go do some housework - I've been playing waaayy too long this morning on this and have done NOTHING around the place! xo

Another Quick Card ...

Morning all. Here is another card I did - very similar to the other one - nice and easy but I just LOVE using the gorgeous RF rub-ons .... really gorgeous! Anyway, we are off to Orange for a few days to stay with friends ... Nick and Phil are off to the Bathurst 1000 car race with Marty ... I think us girls will find something else much more intersting to do!!!!! There is much excitement in our house at the moment!

A really quick card .....

Had to throw together a super quick 'Thank you' card so this is what I came up with ... very basic but I just love the Rhonna Farrer Autumn Leaves Rub-ons .... so very yummy! Thanks to the gorgeous Leisa (from Scrapsidaisy) for getting me onto them ... I've been using them a LOT!

My first real attempt at an 'off the page' thing! The girls leave hairbands all over the house so I thought this might tempt them into putting them away and in one place ... however now of course they are arguing over who's box it is! So ... I think I'll be off to Scrapsidaisy to get another one so they have one each! Of course!

Hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend and the start of the holiday's ... it was our babies 5th b'day on Friday and we are partied out! Time to relax a little ... the boys can settle in and watch the footy and I'm sure the girls and I will find 'something' to do!!!!!!!

My Sweetheart ...

This is the very first page I ever did, earlier this year! For some reason I couldn't get it to load onto my slide so I'm adding it seperately and I'll try and get it on my slide later. It's of Phil, my fabulous hubby, and I at my gorgeous Aunties wedding last year.

Aaarrrggghhh!!!!

I'm very frustrated! I have done a few bits and pieces lately and I've gone to load my photo's onto my computer and it's not doing anything! Aaaggghhh now I'm really cranky and yelling at a camera that has no idea I'm yelling at it ... so ... I will have to be patient until Phil gets home then he can yell at it and hopefully get it to work for me!

Don't you just hate that! I do!

Anyway now I've said my peace I'll get these kids off to Touch Football and then maybe come home and yell at this technology some more!!!!!!!
